Oh Dina that dude sounds nasty!!! Maybe he should of thrown his stinky shoes in the bin!!! I love staying at hostels but sometimes there are just people who I swear stay in hostels just to be annoying!!! I really don’t know how I managed to hold back from punching out the ironing girl! lol

And no i’ve not seen college humor but i’m so gonna check it out now!

Hahaha, this is hilarious, Sasha! The “you space in my space” really cracks me up, haven’t heard or encounter that type. Your annoyance combo story is superb, I don’t know what will I do if I found somebody ironing clothes on my bed when I’m on it like that.

The video is hilarious too, reminds me of Amir and Jake from College Humor (do you know them?)

I think the worst roommate I had in hostel was a dude, in Lisbon, he came to the room really stinky and place his stinky boots near me. He took out 4 pairs of foot wear and threw it all over the place in the room, until he finally found his bedroom sandal (you know, the soft fabric kind). He dashed to the bathroom without any toiletries, and stupid me, I forgot my toiletries there. He used my soap, I believed. So gross!

Oh yeah for sure!!! Though I’m one of those bad early morning zip ppl that has everything in zipper compartments I’m very bad!!! I think maybe all dorms need a separate room just for bag packing!

Great post, but you left one person out: the plastic bag rustler… You know, the people who are getting up to get an early bus/flight so they wake up at 4am and start putting everything in their pack into plastic bags!!! I think plastic bags should be banned from all dorm rooms… OK, I feel better now…

There is always going to be one person that is going to annoy the crap out of you!!! I think next time i’m gonna go for a mixed dorm, i can put up with annoying boys but somehow a big group of girls just seem to be able to tip the annoying scale LOL

This is hilarious. I sometimes try to avoid co-ed dorms because of guys snoring but then I find you have a greater chance of getting the annoying group of girls. You can’t win.

Hahaha I never noticed that anagram, that is brilliant!!! Imagine if they started advertising 12 bed Dirty Room’s LOL!!!

The last straw for me that compelled to write this post was the ironing on my bed while i was asleep in it i will never understand where the logic is in that, lucky i didn’t wake up with iron shape burns!!! Normally I’m pretty passive but that made me want to start a fight!!!

I guess the worst possible combination of dorm room buddy is the Diseased Snoring Horn Dog. It is possible for dorm buddies to have multiple characterisitics.

By the way, here is some irony for you – ‘DORMITORY’ is an anagram of ‘DIRTY ROOM’!! Serious, you can rearrange the letters of ‘Dormitory’ to creat this ironic phrase!

You know what? I’ve come across a lot of these characters before and wrote about them in ‘Travel Personalities Explained’.
