If you stalk me on twitter or facebook you will probably have noticed that I slackly haven’t posted the last few weeks. I could give you a grand excuse like I’ve been on the beach tanning in Qingdao, or that my brain no longer functions because I spend most of the day speaking to two year olds, all true of course but the real reason is that I’ve been stuck in a sleepy haze of writers block most likely attributed to all Shanghai’s nightlife I’ve been sampling the last 6 weeks! But don’t worry I’ll be back to posting my latest ramblings, reminicing about my travels around China and occasionally giving you some useful information.
Now I know of course a lot of you are waiting in eager anticipation for the next magazine issue which is ridiculously behind schedule and I promise it will be out soon. I had a decision to make, try and rush to finish it in the very little free time I have or take my time to produce something of quality like all you readers have come to expect. And trust me the 3rd issue is jam packed with great articles about some really interesting places written by very talented contributors. And I know how all of you love pretty pictures so much, so this issue will feature more photography then any of the previous magazines!
While I haven’t been posting much on here I’ve been featured all over the web so If you feel you need an On UR Way fix or just generally maybe read and interesting story, learn something useful or just dispel your boredom at work then check out the following articles and interviews.
I recently did a guest post for Steph of Twenty Something Travel about how I’ve integrated into Chinese culture and possibly turned just a little bit Chinese. You should at least check it out to see the pic of what a really nice squat toilet looks like, once you see that you will never want to sit on a toilet again!!!
I was honoured to be interviewed by Andy Hays of Sharing Travel Experiences, the web’s number one online travel lifestyle magazine. Andy didn’t give me the straight forward easy questions I was expecting, he gave me questions that forced me to really think, it gave me more of an insight into myself and I’m sure it will give you more of an insight into why I travel and the things I love.
Unless you have just stumbled upon this site or have been living under a rock for the past 8 months then I’m sure you’ve figured out (from all the China related articles) that i’m living and working in China as an ESL teacher. I chatted to the gang at Travel With a Mate about the highs and lows of living and working in China and all the reasons why I started and continue to travel.
On UR Way Travel was featured as one of Trav Addict’s “10 Great Travel Blogs You Should Read”. While you’re there check out all the other great blogs that were listed!
